Native American Hoop Dance
Native American hoop dancing is a form of social, exhibition dancing performed by numerous tribes across North America. Dancers use between five and forty hoops to create various formations that represent objects (e.g., eagles, drums, butterflies, snakes).
The modern powwow music is used by nearly all hoop dancers. Although hoop dancing was once thought of a men's dance, today both women and men hoop dance.

Aloha, my name is sunshine and I am currently from Hawaii, I just came from a powwow here last weekend and took some really good shot of the Indian hoop dancing. I will be painting them, but before painting it, I wanted to do more homework on it. Like what each motion symbolizes, do you have a link or book I can go too?
